The story takes place within a world system that is well-governed. Technology is used to the greatest advantage to determine people’s needs and desires. The latest scientific research and social science facilitates sound decision-making of policy-makers. Resources are adequately distributed by a global economy. Hyper-local concerns and interests control governance of shared resources in smaller jurisdictions. Conflicts happen, drama unfolds, passions ignite, but we see through the story how a just planetary order manages these crises in a rational and equitable way.
